Outdoor Pump

Problem: Stationary outdoor noise sources infecting nearby residential homes with unwanted noise. Sources include pool pumps, compressors, air conditioning units, etc.

Solution: Build a frame around the unit. Make the frame out of 2x4s, unistrut, angle iron, tubular steel, or anything comparable. Then call us. We'll cut outdoor, weather resistant noise control blankets you can drape around the unit. The noise is then blocked from becoming airborne.

Our outdoor noise control blankets are comparable to the QBV-1 blankets listed on this website.

The only difference is that we will wrap the blankets with an outdoor, weather resistant silicone skin. Blankets are cut to size, take 3-4 weeks to deliver, and you can self install in a matter of minutes. They are grommetted across the top and bottom to secure to your frame, and have weatherproof velcro sewn into their edges for interconnection. We can also cut holes, slits, patches, windows, strip curtains, and anything else you need into the curtains to make them user friendly for you and to provide for ventiallation.

If you already have a box built around the unit, and seek a material you can custom cut on site to piece fit into the cavity of your box, you might opt for our FBF1M Panels. These are a foam/barrier/foam composite designed to serve the same function as the blankets, but give you the luxury of custom cutting onsite. Simply glue to the inner walls. The material has an aluminized mylar skin for moisture resistancy.

The result? In either case, on average, a 15-20 dB drop. Note that every 3 dB is actually a 50% drop in sound pressure.
