Ceiling Caps are acoustic ceiling lids that rest atop existing ceiling tiles for sound deadening a drop grid ceiling tile system.   These sound barrier tiles combat sound transmission through a ceiling as a weighted ceiling tile.   Cut as 2'x2' or 2'x4' acoustical ceiling tiles, the Ceiling Caps will help deaden sound bleed and combat foot noise for a soundproof ceiling treatment.    These acoustical barrier tiles will require doubling the hangers used to support the ceiling tile grid system.   

Simply rest these Ceiling Caps atop your existing ceiling tiles to help combat the bleed of noise in or out through your ceiling.    We cut these tiles in 2'x2' or 2'x4' sizes depending on the size of your grid system.    We also have Shrouds that are oversized 30" x 54" sections designed to rest atop any florescent lights.     Place the material barrier side down, facing the fiberglass side up towards your plenum area to absorb noise trapped in your crawl space.  

Please note!

Ceiling Caps weigh 1 pound per sq foot.   Your ceiling grid system is designed to support lightweight tiles, but not these sound barrier weighted Caps.   Be sure to, at a minimum, double up on the hangers you are using to support the grid, so that in turn, the grid can support the additional weight from the Ceiling Caps.   NetWell Noise Control is not responsible for the mis-installation of any of its products.   Please consult your grid system supplier for the additional hangers and the quantities recommended for your treatment
