Tips

This is a thin, weighted mass loaded vinyl material designed to help deaden the transmission of noise through a common surface.    The standard treatment is to layer this material behind wall or ceiling surfaces to serve as a weighted membrane that will help the surface resonate less and combat the bleed of noise.   This product weighs 150 pounds for a 54" x 30' roll.    Due to its weight, do not rely on adhesive when installing.   Your best bet is to anchor the vinyl mechanically using a staple gun, sheetrock screw, etc.   For larger and/or taller wall treatments, hang dB-Bloc vertically.
