Soundproofing a MultiPurpose Room

St Anne's Episcopal Church
St Annes Episcopal Church had a multipurpose room in dire need of sound control. The space was used to host a variety of functions, but met with minimal success and a host of complaints due to the unwelcome levels of echo in the room. With the hard, reflective tile floor and the angled surfaces of the ceiling, excessive noise was inevitable. Greg Cargill contacted NetWell Noise Control for help.
The Treatment
The goal with the treatment was to lower the level of echo, or backbground noise, which in turn will raise the level of clarity to original sound. By introducing a set of sound panels into the space, the echoes are captured, the noise collapses, and the space once again becomes user friendly. A series of Ceiling Clouds was targeted for hte treatment, evenly spread across the expanse of the ceiling. A total of 70 Clouds measuring 3'x4' were prescribed based on the room's size, shape and surface textures.
The Results
After the installation of the Ceiling Clouds, the room's acoustics were great. The echoes dropped, the room became more functional, people can now converse in normal conversational tones, the decibel levels have collapsed.
"We received the panels on tuesday December 27th, they looked great, arrived in perfect shape. We had them hung on the 28th, pictures attached, and the treatment looks terrific. The sound valeus we were hoping for have been met, everyone is pleased with both the performance of the Clouds and the visual impact they have made to the room. Thank you NetWell for your help from the start. We appreciate the fact that you have indeed made our space more user friendly!"

Ceiling Clouds are class A fire rated sound panels that mechanically "float" from a ceiling to help lower excessive noise levels in a commercial space. The Clouds allow our clients to trigger these values without having to put sound panels on their walls. Average Cloud treatments will cover less than 25-305 of your overall ceiling space.
