Soundproofing a Worship Center

The Challenge

The Woodlands Community Temple of Hartland, NY contacted NetWell Noise Control in search of an acoustic answer to their sound reflection problems in their Temple.    Due to the irregular shape of the room, and the large number of windows in the room, the reflections were causing interference with their worship services.

The Treatment

The good news was that NetWell's Fabric Panels were designed to capture the unwanted sound reflections in the Temple that were causing the acoustic interference.    The bad news was the lack of available wall space to mount the panels.    Working closely with a dedicated member of the Temple, NetWell was able to introduce 600 square feet of paneling into the room.    The Fabric Panels were cut to size to center along the top of the wall above the windows, as well as a set of panels applied direct to their ceiling.

The Results

It took the dedicated member of the Temple, who took the time and care to configure a way to work around the glass and the ceiling, and the panels were successfully placed into the room.    As a result of the treatment, the reverberation times in the room collapsed to appropriate levels, cleaning out the background noise to deliver premium quality sound for the Temple.  A big thanks to Alan Kaplan for his dedication to this project and the success he was able to achieve through the use of NetWell's Fabric Panels!
