These acoustic Pyramids provide the ultimate in acoustic balance! Product Description-These 2'x2' square, open
cell polyurethane acoustic foam panels have symmetrically identical beveled faces that disguise their seams from piece to piece. Available in standard 2, 3 and 4 inch thicknesses and 6 different colors, they yield one uniform look to a treated wall space, and
boast excellent acoustic results. Ideal for any audio application where acoustics and aesthetics are both a must! Cut into the face of the panels is a symmetrically diamond shaped pattern,
aesthetically designed to maximize acoustic performance. Tips: Your acoustic results will quadruple at the low bass end if you bump up
from the thickness to the 3" thickness. Any bass music will require this thicker material. For studio applications, cover 50-70% of your overall wall
space. Note also that foam DOES NOT BLOCK sound from going through a wall. Foam absorbs echo. If your problem is sound transmission, check out our dB-Bloc! Installation Techniques:
Most customers glue these panels to a wall using silicone based caulk. For portability, you could opt to put them up with velcro strips or double stick
tape. Cut the foam from the back side with a carpet cutter or utility knife. The most common way to install the panels are with a caulking gun and
tubes of silicone adhesive. One tube for every 8 panels, or every 32 square feet. Other possible installation techniques may include double stick tape or
velcro. Also, gluing the panels to plywood first and then bolting the panels to the wall is very popular. This allows you to eventually move the material. In
addition, putting firring strips up on the wall first, and then bolting the plywood to the firring strips will create dead air space behind the foam. This will help enhance the acoustic affects of the application. W A R N I N G : Urethane foam, when exposed to heat or ignition sources, may bum. Once ignited, urethane foams can bum rapidly, consuming a high
rate of oxygen and releasing hazardous gases, toxic fumes and smoke. In an enclosed space, this may prove fatal. Consideration must be given to the
flammability issue when using this product. Do not expose urethane foam to an atmosphere that will contaminate it, nor to ignition or hear sources that may cause it to burn.
