Canopioes are nothing more than shrouds that you can mechanically affix to the interior spacing between the joists in your ceiling prior to putting a dB-Bloc/Drywall treatment into play.   The material is available in 54" x 10' lengths for smaller residentail projects, or 54" x 30' lengths for larger treatments.   Simply take a utility knife, cut it into manageable sections, and staple to the cavity space above the location of your targeted ceiling cutouts.   See the image above.  

The raw material is the same as NetLag Duct and Pipe Wrap.   It is easy to use, and can be very effective at combatting sound bleed.    When cut and placed as a Canopy treatment over your light, speaker or vent cutouts, it is designed to help prevent the decay of your overall dB-Bloc treatment on your ceiling.   Call our help desk at 1-800-638-9355 for more questions!
