Description                                                                     

VDB10 is a liquid damping compound designed to paint onto an existing metal surfaces to decay its rate of vibration and reduce ambient noise levels.   The compound can be brushed, troweled, dipped or sprayed onto metal surfaces.   See the installation link above or the spec sheet below for guidelines on application and cleanup.

Tips

Your best bet is to spray the material as described with the installation link above.   Do not apply more than 1/16" thickness per application and allow 24 hours dry time between coats.   Your goal should be to match the thickness of the treatment to the thickness of the metal surface being sprayed.   You can paint the final treatment once it has dried, but be sure to use a water based latex, not a solvent based paint.
