Cafeterias are always defined by hard reflective surfaces that make it easy to keep surfaces clean and control the spread of sticky germs. But those same surfaces can cause havoc on the sound wave reflections in the space. As a result, which is the case with the Davis County Elementary School, echoes carry throughout the cafeteria and spike the noise to unwanted levels.
Once Davis County discovered NetWell’s sound panels, it soon became apparent that they were interested in creating a tackable soundboard system that would allow them to simultaneously lower the noise in the room, and create a bulletin board style perimeter panel system. As a result of the sound panel treatment, NetWell’s FabricTack Acoustic Panels collapsed more than 50% of the unwanted echoes in the room, while providing the tackability the students enjoy as they are able to brand their space with their creative output. The sound panels made the cafeteria a pleasant and safe environment for lunch, and for hosting other events held within the space.
