Multipurpose Room Acoustics
Hunters Ridge is a public golf course located in Marion, IA. The Hunters Ridge Lodge plays host to a variety of golf related tournaments, as well as social functions, business meetings and wedding receptions. The space accommodates up to 175 people for music, catered food and bar service. Owner Dave Verhille contacted NetWell Noise Control for help ini improving the sound quality within the space. The echoes in the room were too loud, the sound values were compromised, Dave was seeking a resolution to the noise with something that added a nice visual to the space.
The Treatment
In turn, NetWell Noise Control ran a Room Analysis on the space to target product selection and quantities needed based on the size, shape and surface textures in the room. As with any A frame building, the two inclined ceiling surfaces became the natural focal point for placement of the panels, leaving the perimeter windows alone to enjoy the beautiful view of the golf course. NetWell introduced Dave to a set of acoustic Fabric Panels, that were decorative, durable, portable, class A fire rated, easy to self install and would produce premium sound quality for his venue.

Results
As a result of the installation of the sound panels, the background echoes in the room dropped dramatically. More than 10 dB of sound reduction was experienced, as the crowd noise collapsed back, the clarity to speech was restored, guests were comfortable, and the room instantly became more user friendly for booking events to host in the Lodge.
