Novibra Type M machinery mounts are extremely soft, both vertically and laterally, for the isolation of low-frequency disturbances in all directions.  This mount utilizes a rubber isolator that is designed to provide a very high degree of isolation for machines that vibrate because of their rotating parts.  Typical applications include: compressors, refrigerators, AC-units, ventilators, fans, electric motors, weighing scales, testing and verification equipment, test cell equipment, pumps, and noise control units to name a few.  The Type M mount is also suitable as a shock isolator for applications ranging from small electronic equipment to big and heavy constructions to protect theses from incoming g-forces and vibrations.  The mount design features a threaded insert which allows the subject machine to be directly connected to the mount. This "machine to mount" connection is independent of the anchoring connection between the mount and the floor thus mitigating the transmission of vibration and noise to surrounding environments.  

The Novibra Type M mount is designed to be extremely soft and resilient.  Consideration should be given to Novibra Type RAEM for applications where less deflection is required.  The Type M mount is a suitable passive isolator for equipment applications where active isolation systems are not practical.  

It is not always necessary to secure this mount to the floor or foundation structure.  Mount performance will meet performance specifications given proper loading.  Consideration should be given to the dynamics of the application when deciding whether or not to anchor this mount to the floor or foundation structure.
